The Denver International wine festival is set to take place on the 12th and 13th of November, which oddly enough are on a Thursday and Friday. This coincides with the Denver Wine Week which is from Nov. 9-15th.
Colorado wine lovers will not only be able to enjoy the local wines, but there will be wines from all over the world including wines from countries such as Australia (that is pretty much a given right?), South Africa, Chile, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Germany and Argentina. Wines from California, New York, Oregon and Washington will be representin' as well.
For those who are more serious and want to do more than get a nice high quality buzz from some great wines (c'mon, there are a lot more people who drink everything than just taste and spit it out. If it's great wine, it almost seems sacrilegious to spit it out no?) there are seminars on everything from making your own small batch of bourbon, to wine pairing, to chef's entertainment. Most of these events cost an additional amount if you are just getting the one day festival entry pass. There are a number of different packages you can get as well.
The wine fest comes on the heels of the Denver International Wine Competition. This is the chance to see who some of the winners are at that competition.
